Jackie Simmons

 

Jackie Simmons Godfrey, 28, of Boise, died Monday, June 12, 1989, in a Boise hospital of natural causes.  Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at Gibson Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Charlie Foltz officiating.  Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery.

 

Jackie was born August 24, 1960, at Boise, a daughter of Charles and JoAn Simmons.  She attended Boise schools, graduating from Boise High School in 1978.  She married Greg Godfrey in 1985 at Boise, where they lived until 1988 when they moved to Billings, Montana.  They returned to Boise in 1989 where Jackie was employed at Monument Camera Co. She previously worked at Sin Star in Billings, and Best, Inc. in Boise.  Jackie loved photography, music, camping, animals, and life in general.

 

Survivors include her husband, Greg Godfrey of Boise; her parents Charles and JoAn Simmons of Boise; a sister, Kathleen McKibben of Boise; a brother, Michael Simmons of Boise; her mother-in-law, Lorraine Godfrey of Boise; her father-in-law, Robert Godfrey of Boise; her grandmother, Golda Adamson of Boise, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may call today from 10 a.m. until time of rosary, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon at Gibson Funeral Home.
