Cindy Marie Roderick

 

Cindy M. Roderick Russell, 28, of Gillette, Wyoming and formerly of Boise, died Tuesday, April 12, 1988, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident south of Gillette.  Funeral services were held Saturday, April 16, in Gillette.  Burial with graveside rites will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Cloverdale Memorial Park, Boise.  Rev. Mike Sanders of the Church of Christ, Boise, will officiate.

 

Mrs. Russell was born July 21, 1959, at Boise, a daughter of James W. and Mary Joyce Ross Roderick.  She grew up in Boise and attended Roosevelt Elementary School, East Junior High School and graduated from Boise High School with the class of 1977.  Following her education, she worked in grocery stores in the Boise area.  She married David H. Russell on March 2, 1978, at the Church of Christ in Boise.  After living in Meridian for two years, they moved to Gillette, Wyoming where David worked in the oil fields, and Cindy was employed at the Holiday Inn.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Boise.

 

Some of Cindy’s favorite hobbies including fishing, camping and horseback riding.  After her husband’s severe injury two years ago, Cindy was constantly by David’s side caring for his needs, while also managing the family.  Survivors include her husband, David of Gillette; two sons, Andrew J. and Shawn N., both of Gillette; a daughter, Brandy Jo of Gillette; her parents, James W. and Mary Joyce Roderick of Boise; a brother, Paul W. Roderick of Boise; two sisters, Linda Kay Williams and Shannon Laurie Roderick, both of Boise; her grandmother, Vernedieth Roderick of Boise; two aunts and an uncle.

 

A memorial has been established for the children of the Russell family, and local contributions may be left with the Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale, Boise 83704.
