Lora Libby

Lora (Lori) Libby Boyd, 57 Lora, who was better known as Lori, passed away suddenly of cardiac dysrhythmia on November 24, 2017 at her home of 30-years in West Olympia. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Tim, and their three adult children Brandon, Preston and Samantha. Lori is also survived by her mother Pat Libby Insko and her two older brothers Jeff and Bruce Libby.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri to Henry Franklin Libby Jr. and Patricia Glenn Libby, Lori was raised in Prairie Village, Kansas until the family moved to Boise, Idaho when she was nine-years-old. After attending Kansas University, she graduated from Boise State University as a Registered Nurse (BS) and spent her career in medicine. Initially, as a neonatal intensive care and pediatric nurse and eventually as a certified functional diagnostic nutritionist. However, she often said her favorite "job" was giving birth to and raising three wonderful kids. As a wife, mother, medical professional or friend, Lori was always learning, sharing and caring for others. Her blue eyes, big smile and positive energy filled any room. Among her favorite sayings: "Thoughts become things. Choose the good ones!"

Lori was simply the best and will be sorely missed by all.

A Celebration of Life honoring Lori will be held at Olympia Country & Golf Club on Sunday, April 29th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a
charitable donation to SafePlace in Olympia or Doctors Without Borders.
